Completed Production Waiting for Carrier?

I've been checking status of my car using the 800 number. My car has been completed production and waiting for carrier for over a week. Is this normal?

I know, man. Mine completed on 6/11, and it's still waiting. Some folks here say that their car waited 2 weeks!

I see. I'm not too worried as long as I'm not alone.

Thanks for the info, Golffrr. Does it take over a month to get to the west coast?
I hope there isn't extra delays due to the World Cup.

^^travel time across the water is usually 2 weeks if I am not mistaken. You can track it all on marine traffic website, but be warned its brutal! Also the updates are in and out unless you are a member of the site. sometimes you can google the vessel and get the current position from a few other sites as well.

Mine says it is being "Transported to the port of exit" (and has been since the 12th) , is this the same status OP is referring to?

Mine went 190 (released to carrier) on 6/11, and appears to have made it onto the ship, the Mignon, that left Saturday 6/14. There are only two US West coast ships a month, so the wait can be a while (there is one a week to New York).

Go here and put in Bremerhaven, Germany and Port Hueneme, USA to see the ship schedule. http://sagaweb.2wglobal.com/AppSchedules/countryList.do. You can put in your VIN under "Cargo ID" here to see if you are on a ship: https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage.

Don't think that is necessarily true. The schedule is set months in advance and they leave as scheduled, full or not.

Guess that could be the case. No records found when I input the VIN.

It can take a couple days to make it onto the system. Mine did not show up until today.

Thanks for the info!! If it didn't make it to the latest ship, I hope it make it on to the next ship, departing on 6/29, arriving on 7/25.

Mine sat for well over a week in that state. It now says being transported to port of exit (or something along those line).

Mine has been in "transporting to port of exit" for almost a week now, either the semi truck driver got lost or they are pushing my M3 to the port.

Mine was sitting at the port for 6 weeks before it shipped. Feel lucky it's only been a week
