Just got a call from my CA advising me that they have a production number now and it is going to status 150 real soon.

We went over the build again and all is confirmed. What is the 800# to check on status? I did the BMWUSA site, but it doesn't recognize my production number.

when the operator comes on just say "vehicle production status" then say your partial vin or production number

Thank you sir. I searched under hotline on the forums, but all that popped up were references to Lups.

September 17th. The same date as when we picked up our E60 550i in 2006.

Tell me about it. Reading all these posts on status updates was killing me. I just have to remember that mine was in September.

WTF... how is it possible that you have an ED in september, and the car is going into production now. Meanwhile, we are all waiting for our cars to be delivered now, and they are getting pushed back. It makes no sense...

Yeah, I thought once it went into production you'd see it about 6 weeks later...September seems too far. I bet You'll see it the mid-end of July.

Well, I hope the butt cheeks of 47 BMW engineers taking lunch break are molded into the seats, and the new car smell is replaced by the aroma of weiner schnitzel and beer...

We have to remember IIRC, they take Holiday in August so no cars are built from August 11-22 this year. That might be part of it.
