1100 miles, last 100 in sleet and rain

Just come back from an adventurous 100 miles in pi£$$ng rain and sleet but have had one of the most enjoyable drives ever.

Having switched the M button on (set to MDM, Sport plus and sport) I can honestly say I am loving this car more and more. Driving conditions were pretty treacherous but not once did the car behave unpredictably.

I drive fast but safe according to road conditions and in some instances drove at speeds which made me think I was on the star ship Enterprise

The car tracks really well and I am gaining more and more confidence in the front end all the time.

The best bit was rear wheel drifting round my local round a bout (island) holding the drift for some time - all very controllable and predictable - the front did understeer when approaching turn at speed, but with a dab of the throttle she quickly got into line and I had a whale of time really really impressed given the appalling conditions.

Yeah, I didn't catch the traction-forecast on the telly, but something seems to have gone massively wrong with the roads up North today, eh? DSC was upsetting most of my time in 1st and 2nd gears this afternoon - it was a good day to convinvce oneself how much better the MDM setting is...

Looks like we both have only 100 miles to go until we're red-lining

Isn't it great how predictable it is? I've just spent the last half hour doing donuts and spins on the wet ground outside the local supermarket. I wanted to explore the levels of grip available in the wet and find out just how easy it is to bring the car back in line when the back end goes. It really is so easy to drive it on the throttle! A quick dab steps the back out, while releasing the power brings it right back again. At no point does it ever feel like it's going to run away from you. What a car. The balance is just amazing!

You know you are torturing North America.

Other than that, it is splendid to hear such good things about the car.

Especially considering how we are now losing money in the stock market. By the time the car gets here we may all be broke.

Then pull from your bank your deposit or $70k in cash and bury it in your back yard.
