Porsche power bumps

Supposedly:

997S 380 HP April 2008
997 345 HP April 2008
997 Turbo 505 HP Paris 2008 (Oct.) Also, PDK (7 speed dual clutch/clutchless)
997 GT3 435 HP April 2008, PDK

I still love the idea of the M (if it's priced right) but, Porsche is making the 997S and Turbo a lot more appealing to me.

435 HP out of 3.6 NA liters, quite impressive! Of course, they may increase the engine to 3.8 liters. Even so, it would still be impressive.

I hope that the development of PDK is putting pressure on BMW to wrap up DCT.

I feel bad for the turbo owners. After just two years, there will be a FL and decent power bump.

I wonder if and when the PK will be available for the 997S. If so, I would expect 405 HP, is history is an indicator. Of course, the price will be kind of excessive. You'd be looking at roughly $108,000-$110,000, depending on options.

Is the PDK going to be available for the Boxster in the future?

A Porsche forum. He claims to have a CRI; confidential reliable informant. Whether fact or fiction, who knows?

Got my first ever speeding ticket (after driving for 18 yrs) here in Charleston, SC. Not a very uplifting experience...

Anyway, getting back to topic, a Boxster (S) PDK would be a really nice alternative to an M3 DCT, at least for me.

Cool, me too.

We don't have as much renal failure in Iowa, though.

That's unfortunate. Although, I don't think that it is meant to be uplifting.

Are these models officially going to be called 998's? I believe there is a face lift involved for the C2 and C2S correct?

No, they will still be 997's. The 998's will likely be out in 2009 as a MY2010. Hopefully, the 998S will have well over 400 HP.

The facelift is suppose to include the 997, 997S and turbo. I would imagine that the GT3 would obviously be included.

Southlight,
Sorry if this is the wrong place. Can you move the thread?
Thanks,
Devo

Thanks for the info devo. April 2008 would be just nice... I'll decide between a M3 w/ DCT and the updated C2S then.
