Coming out the hole.

Newbie intro been on the forum sometime now, but just sitting in my hole in PA while being scared shitless over the rod bearing syndrome have found this forum very informative, I have a 2010 MR DCT stripper with 2900mi

2900 miles? You barely passed the break in period. I don't think you have to worry about bearings just yet.

Its a piece of carbon tape cause they drilled my bumper, but velcro tape and Euro plate sounds like a good idea.

WRONG! The 3k mile mark is critical. I would sell it immediately, I will buy it at a deep discount. On a serious note, just keep revs under 3k until car is fully warmed up and get oil changes every 5k miles (or sooner if the car is not being driven). I personally have switched to Mobil 0W40 due to the cold Northeast climate. There is an abundance of well running M3's out there.

1. Beautiful!

2. Congrats!

3. Like one of the above posts said now go out and drive!

I am coming up on 9 months of ownership, about to crest over 10,000 km, and the last few weeks I couldn't take not driving my car so I got parking at work starting next month so I can drive daily (even though its faster taking public transit) but I don't care, just want to drive this thing, enjoy it, get it dirty, wash and repeat

Quick question, did you power coat your wheels or did they come like that?

One thing I can tell you is that these cars NEED to be driven, in fact, the driver adaptations are part of the reason you have issues later on, especially on DCT cars. Have fun and enjoy it! Why else buy an ///M...
