Had a chance to run a heavily modded 335i in Mexico.
E90 AT 335i N54 mods: (GoPro mounted car) JB4 G5 ISO (map 5), DCI, BMW Performance Exhaust, Macht Schnell Catless Downpipes, E-85 (~45%), AT 400whp and + 430wtq E90 M3 6MT Dinan Underdrive Pulley, GIAC Tune, Macht Schnell Stage 2 Intake, Macht Schnell Race X-Pipe OEM exhaust Mod Dyno'd at 400.05whp and 278.79wtq SAE M3 (car on the left) started to pull in 4th gear top end. Very close in the beginning 2nd gear 50mph-3rd gear due to the 335i's massive torque. Can't hear the honks in the vid but run started evenly and did a few others. |

Great runs, were you two drivers surprised at the outcomes? Those are some nice #'s. E-85 + map-5 JB4 on the N54 is friggen fast too (I used to run a FBO 135i)!
What PSI was he running at? I assume 16-17 on Map 5 with E-85. Looks like he needs to get a FMIC and charge pipe to squeeze out some more ponies.

Yes, the 335 is around that exact psi (16), and was told when on map 7 he pushes 417whp/477wtq. (Not sure if SAE or STD) Still so much torque for a 3 series, especially being on top of E-85! It seems to be a game of top end power, as that is when my M3 would pull every time. |

Hmm, any chance you got dyno graphs for both?
Was expecting the m3 to get spanked. Edit: NM I see why, 335i was auto.

Nice kill! Impressive for FBO 6MT M3 to pull so hard top end.

On his youtube page, where this video is posted, he has videos of his car being dyno'd as well but doesn't show the #'s. @e92livin Thanks for the feedback |

335 was probably pulling out timing in the higher gears if the IAT comp tables were not changed to account for the ethanol. Either way, you walked him up top. Good run

Nice run. My cousin has a 335i and I a DCT M3 we are both going FBO and will run this spring. Your video gives me a good feeling.

Thanks for the feedback guys
The 335i wants a re-match. This time, he said he is going to up the psi by going up to Map 7 and increasing the E-85. I told him if he's going to up it a little, then so will I by putting in 100 octane. (E-85 is apparently rated higher anyways, and I was on 91 before) My GIAC tune has a race map for race fuel so hopefully it'll add some more power. |

Obligatory "racing an M3 in a straight line is like seeing which jet is faster on the runway."
Now lets see a video of you guys on the race track.

I agree, on the track this wouldn't have even been a race
Now a FBO M3 like mine pushing 400 to the wheels vs a stock F80 M4, im sure the the E90 would win top end as the F80 doesn't have 400whp stock. Put a turbo back exhaust or re-flash on the F80 then its a different story |
