I am extatic to find out the acceleration and pefromance benefits of the DCT over the MT. From what I've seen, dual clutch transmissions offer such smooth seemless and constant acceleration that I cannot wait to have this transmission in my M.

Also, after reading the article you linked to, this page seems somewhat old. They say that the M3 goes on sale in September, which happened a couple of months ago. Somewhat disappointing "news".

This is ancient news. The article isn't telling us anything we haven't already heard and is dated May 30th. At this point, I'd like to see BMW say something about DCT.

Some say Spring 2008 and this says March 2008
I know it's old however, most of the articles I've read says Spring 2008. If the sources of information is credible at least it narrows the month to March 2008.

UK Bulletin said "anticipated SOP in March '08." That's the document the article is referring to and known since June. BTW: wrong section also.

Source?
I know all anyone has at this point is rumors. Can you share the source of this rumor with us? I'd like to evaluate the likelihood of actually seeing the DCT or getting some info about it at the LA show, that I will definitely be attending. Cheers.
