M3/M4 North American Model Codes

Does anyone know what the M3/M4 North American model codes will be?

This would enable us to constantly refresh the forthcoming configurator to see when it pops up! I think there are also services that monitor this for you and send you an email when a website comes up, any suggestions there are also welcome.

For example:
http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte.../byohome.aspx?namodelcode=145g <- M5
http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte.../byohome.aspx?namodelcode=146k <- M6

Thanks and happy configuring (when the time comes)!

According to the very first page of the Canadian order guide, they are 15M3 and 15M4 respectively. That is, if those are the model codes you are referring to.

Thanks for checking, not sure that matches up with the U.S.A. website codes though. For everyone's reference:
M5=145g
M6=146k
M235i=142C
M6GC=146M
M6Convertible=146j
x6m=14xn
i3=14IA
z4is=14ZC
335i=143Q

Okay, so first part must be model year, the challenge has been set:
M3=15 _ _
M4=15 _ _

Any guesses?

Yeah, I don't know if they are the same for Canada and US, although it does say "NA Code", which could mean North American Code.

Also, I looked at the 2014 M5 US order guide, and FWIW, it shows the same 145G "NA Code" that you posted above (except the G is capital instead of lower case).

Just write a little script to check every combination I guess.

I just looked at the 2014 Canadian M5 Order Guide (which is combined with the 5 Series for some reason), and the model code there was 1458. So, it's a no go.

But maybe there's a system? If you check past year M5 order guides (or those for other models) maybe they just increment the codes for a given chassis each year. IOW, maybe, for example, the 5/M5 for Canada will start with 1559 for the 528i since they ended with 1458 last time (see the order guide for the full list). It's just a guess, maybe it's not that easy, but they are probably not just randomly selected.

Your links are broken with the ... in the middle. Hover your mouse cursor to see the actual link, it also has the ...

http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte...modelcode=15TN
http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte...modelcode=154H

These should work.
