Should I buy it?
http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...63863189&Log=0
just saw this car, 2011 fully loaded, 25k miles, asking for 46000, no accidents, one problem is that it says Lemon on CARFAX, so i am not sure if i should go for it,( ZCP, carbon roof, 2 owners) another small question is that why is the reflector at the front(below the headlights) that color? shouldn't it be orange or body color? and another question is for the rear view mirrors on the sides of the car, should the top part(the little narrow black part that is disconnected) perfectly align with the part on the door? I was going to get this car but then this 45k showed up, so i am not sure what to do( 2013, fully loaded, no accidents, perfectly taken care of) http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...63277702&Log=0 thanks for your help guys! |

First one...Looks like it has all the best options! Low mileage and space grey/fox red combo

I don't like the looks of that first car. Who mods with clear/white reflectors on space gray? And you're right about the mirrors, they don't line up on that car (but they sure do on mine).
Blue one looks good, 2013, probably can't go wrong. |

No Carfax on the 2011?
And what the hell does this mean, "This M3 was repurchased by BMW of NA to promote customer satisfaction." Sounds like a lemon. And the blue one never had it's 1,200 break in service performed. Sounds like both should be avoided. Too many of these cars to buy a questionable one IMO. |

I'm not sure where you are getting the $45k for the '13.
Dealer website says $64k. Quite a deal if it's been marked down that much. But, if your numbers are true, then the answer, in my book, anyway, is the proverbial no brainer. |

They call it a lemon for a reason. Is the asking price cheap? Not in my book. I would guess he bought the car at auction for around 35k. Unless you enjoy risk taking, the sensible thing to do is stay away from it.
The '13, I think, is overpriced. The identical car, brand new, a year or two ago, was being bought for about 59k. The dealer probably "stole" this on a trade for a new Audi. Find the auction prices for this car and start your bidding thereabouts. I would recommend you search the preowned section of the BMWUSA website. Using your zip code, you're likely to find something reliable which is close to where you live and at a reasonable starting price. If nothing else, you'll get a better feel for what these cars are going for. Good luck with your hunt. |

I would not start mixing in other things.
