And now to the dark side I roam..... A Black Black!

The car is a one owner, collector from Vic, and has travelled a mere 3,500ks.

Pickup from FI on Saturday with a 7 hour drive to its new home here in the ACT.

Just a tad excited to see her for the first time!

I been looking for a C63 Black series but the only one that came up recently was way overpriced....$273k...and had over 20,000km!

The other half finally got her new car - a new C250 coupe - and let me tell you Benz make a more solid car than BMW. No rattles on the 7hr trip back. IF Benz keep up the quality I will likely be trading my BMW in for a Benz for my next car.

Alpine if you haven't done so already I would be utilising some sort of protection on the car from stone chips from that long drive back. I got a clear bra on my BMW but I have to say that two rolls of blue painters tape is just fine for the trip.

Every time I drove our CLK63 I wished I'd had a tanker truck on call

Thanks Joe, I really hope she's a beauty, given I have owned it for a month and bought sight unseen (freighted from Perth). I had a quick assessment from Damian at FI on the paint, he said is was pretty good, a few marks, nothing that he couldn't redress.

Damian is hopefully doing a few shots for me, I will post for sure. I wish there was a Damo in Canberra or Sydney too, Melbourne is a pain to get to. Maybe we will move in the future lol

Very different car to the 1M I think NPV, more closely related to an M3, a N/A V8 in a biggish coupe body. It's really more of a GT3 competitor with the way Merc ripped out the rear seats, full on non adjustable seats and added many CF bits (most of which seem to be for either performance or weight reduction). Should be a giggle to drive irrespective.

Yeh, I too have been trolling the C63 Blacks, outa my budget that's for sure, besides for that cash you'll have almost anything. I've seen two come up and go, very quickly. The CLK Black was $299k plus taxes and on roads back in 08 so there is a chance the C63 will drop 50% in a few years too.

I had a look at a E400 with the lot in black, v e r y nice cars, quick and at $140k not a bad option.

I will have to be careful driving back to Canberra, no wrap or tape for me, naked is the go! It is going to be a daily driver after all.

Ummm there are no white cars in Australia, we were delivered Black and Silver cars only. There are both red and white cars elsewhere in the world however. Maybe what you saw, most likely, was a C63 Black?

TBH I prefer the look of the CLK63 blacks over the C63 black, as its less unassuming (the only C63 black I have seen in newcastle had a huge gt wing, front canards and what looked like a roll cage?)
