Leaking Oil?

Is it common for our 135i's to leak oil if it is overfilled? I ask because I think I may of slightly overfilled it last oil change as it stayed at the full mark for the entire oil change interval. When I got under the car yesterday to change the oil again there was oil all over my skidplate, however I haven't had any leakage on my driveway.

A slight overfill of oil should not cause an oil leak.
