Happened to another 1er (repeated wheel changes).
BMW stealership will resupply at minor cost. Otherwise recommend discarding these four, and using a full set of generic wheel lugs for regular track events, etc. |

i think they are around $20?
I had somehow lost one from one of my wheels! (I noticed it a couple of weeks after my tyres were changed...) |

Yeah find the lock nut code from within the nut (ABCxx) - and go to any local BMW parts and services locale - $18 or thereabouts.
BUt that sucks having it broken off like that - previously hand or machine torqued? |

Surely that wasn't done by hand, i suspect a pneumatic impact wrench has been used and over torqued and bang the key has fatigued and sheared off.

You want to make sure no damage has been done to the lock nut threading on the bolt in the wheel itself. Very very troublesome to remove if that happens...
