Question How to remove M badge?

My M badge on the back of my car had become discolored and I have received a new one.

Any ideas on the best way to remove the old badge?

Use a fishing line and slide it under the badge. Pull slowly.

Garage List
Use some dental floss and it comes right off. Then I use Meguiars detail spray and terry cloth and the sticky gunk comes right off.

Some heat and a MF towel. Heat the emblem and slowly slide the towel under the emblem further and further until it pops off. Easier on the hands than fishing line.

I use a 3M Eraser Wheel to get the adhesive off. Much easier and safer than Goof Off IMO.

Packing straps

Use the plastic shipping straps..much easier then fishing line due to its width...use two pieces top and bottom to get under roundel and lift with even pressure.

Yup, this works good for taking off stock rear spoiler too.

All suggestions are good. I use thick dental floss and then 3M adhesive remover, mineral spirits and if required wet sand and buff.

i would think the plastic shipping straps would be to rigid and could scratch the surface. i have always used dental floss to good results.
