LED Headlights
Wondering if anyone can provide some clarification on this option. I read somewhere it will only be available on the M4 and not the M3, can someone confirm that, or does that only apply to the standard 4 series vs. 3 series?
Also, I initially assummed the LED headlights only impacted the main headlight and not the angel eyes. However, if you look closely it appears the angel eyes are different as well. This seems to be the case for the 6 series as well. So does the LED option give you diffferent/better angel eyes? thanks. |

LED Headlights will be available for both the M3 and the M4. Don't know if the angel eyes are different with LED headlights, though.
Best regards, south

Only ones I have ever seen were on a M6 Grand Coupe' but they were damn sexy i'll say that... Much brighter than the xenons, they look just like the current xenons but will blind you if you look directly into them...

He meant that BMW's choice to not LED the tails was idiotic...and it is.

I'm saying it's idiotic of BMW to not have LED taillights for the F3x at launch. |

Ok, found some pictures from other posts that might help show the difference. Including pictures from the 6 series where the difference is more pronounced and the 4 series. I think the angels certainly look better with the LED package.
The direct comparison is the 6 series, then the red car is the 4 with Xenon and the Grey has the LED. |

If I'm not mistaken all of the F models use LEDs for the tail lights - but not necessarily the turn indicators... if that makes sense to anyone.
I love my LEDs in my e90 LCI, so hope the M3 sticks with LEDs |

It seems that for the 4er, 5er LCI, and 6er you don't get LED turn signals unless you have LED headlights. |

That's good to know so it should carry over to the M4 and probably M3 The BMW website isn't clear about that. |

I've started seeing the newer X6 models with them. They look really great.
