Plasti dip picture request
Hey everyone. I have a silver 2008 135i that I was considering plasti dipping either light blue or one of the fluorescent green/orange colors. The only thing I am worried about is how ugly door jams and under the hood and trunk are going to be. Is anyone willing to post up pictures of these ugly areas?
I am considering just doing a matte clear over my silver this way there wont be such a glaring difference. Under hood is already matte anyway... Thanks in advance. |

yeah mine's dipped a custom pearl blue. Honestly, the 1 body shape is so curvy that it can pull off so many different colors and all of them will look good. As for the door jams, trunk, etc. Yes its noticable when the doors are open or the hood, trunk etc, but with all of those closed you'd never know. A lot of people that know nothing about cars ask if BMW painted it this way from the factory while people that are into cars will ask if its a wrap, and a lot are surprised when i tell them it's dip. If it's done right its a perfectly smooth surface. Matte clear would look really good, but i figure with dip since its cheap and temporary i might as well go a little crazier.
With the pearlizer its look various with the lighting. at night its more of a blue/green hue, while in bright day light it just looks bright blue.
