2011 M3 CPO (Silverstone/black)

I went to look at a nice M3 today at park ave. 14,000 miles every option except competition package. They're asking $55,495. They just took this car in, it literally came out of the shop this morning. Car drove great!

I had the general manager put a paint meter and low and behold, the hood was painted! They claim they didn't know it was painted. Sales manager offered me $500 off, I laughed.

Its a nice low mileage car but at this point i'm reluctant to move forward. Any pricing experts wanna come up with a realistic figure what this car is worth?

Have the dealer provide the Carfax so you can find out what caused the repaint of the hood. Depending on the severity of the accident (or whatever it was), then you can try to come up with a number. And you'll know if you would even like to move forward depending on how bad it was (whatever it was).

Carfax is clean. Now people understand why when I tell them carfax aint worth the paper its printed on. Someone paid out of pocket to paint the hood.

How does the paint job look? Is the hood fitting properly? If it all checks out then I wouldnt let that deter you.

I bought a 2011 that also had a painted hood that didn't show up on carfax. All that I could think of was excessive rock chips from the chip seal roads in most of Texas. I bet my bumper was also painted but I didn't check. The deal on the car was good enough that I didn't think twice about it. Hopefully it doesn't come back to bite me!
