Society of Automotive Engineers, AEI Oct 2007 Short Review of E92 M3
Hey all, my first post here. Thought I share something a little different.
Automotive Engineering International is a magazine published by SAE. Unfortunately, one has to be a member of SAE in order to access the magazines. AEI reports a more in depth technical review compared to the other automotive magazines you find on the shelves these days. Stuart Birch has reviewed a lot of BMWs in the past and is a AEI writer. This time he compiled a short 2-page review. But I believe there will be a full-blown review in weeks to come. Want to know at what pressure was the exhaust manifold molded? Or the weight of the forged crankshaft? And what has AGM (absorbent glass mat) got to do with braking? Wonder how much mass air flow is channeled into the hood vent into the engine intake? All these are mentioned in the article. Enjoy! Download the PDF here. |
