The Evil has been exorcised!
Had to flush the brakes, so decided to take this thing out too.
Tried to flush the clutch, but couldn't get my 6mm wrench in between the transmission and the tranny tunnel. Any tricks you guys have for that?

When I swapped out my CDV I just used very small turns to get the bleeder to move. Once you get it out enough to bleed it shouldnt take much of a turn to go between open and shut.
Wish I would have known before I started that the reservoir needs to be topped off to bleed the clutch. I lost all the fluid in the line when I took out the CDV and didn't know that the clutch part of the reservoir only grabs fluid from the top of the reservoir. Took me forever to realize thats why I couldnt get more fluid into the clutch but the reservoir looked full. Apparently I didnt clamp the hose going into the CDV hard enough...

The other way to flush the clutch is from the bottom up.
Check this vid from about 3:15

Nate is right, it is a very tight fit, but you only really need the wrench to move an inch or so, once you're able to get it lose. Also, I would invest in speed bleeders like I did, made bleeding the clutch easy. Because how hard it is to open and close that valve due to tight clearances, with speed bleeders you can leave it open and pump away.

The orientation of the bleed nut is such that I can't fit the wrench around it. Need to find some kind of socket that will fit over the nipple (the nipple is actually larger than the 6mm head, so a closed ended wrench won't fit over it either).

Just did my brake fluid flush the other week. Loosened the nipple with a 7mm socket, used a 7mm closed end to open/close, and tightened fully with the 7mm socket. I don't think the M has a different clutch bleeder nipple size than the Si.
