Hmmmmm ... having to type in a code and then push a button to start up??? Key is easier.
There are lots of so-called modern user-interface design elements that are actually backwards. For example, I hired an Audi A4 on holiday recently, and instead of just turning a knob to make the aircon stronger, you had to touch a screen, bring up the interface for the aircon, and then turn a knob. Idiotic. Truly idiotic. I could have crashed that car just trying to do all that while driving. |

I had push-button start in my '73 bug.
I was way ahead of my time. Actually, the ignition switch broke and didn't have the $15 for a replacement. But I did have a button I scavenged off a piece of discarded industrial machinery.
