Where to buy PPK for the best price?

I found it at www.bmwpartsupply.com for $660. Was just wondering if it can be purchased anywhere for less than that

Thanks

For what it's worth, I just installed the Burger Motorsports JB4 system ($479) a few days ago and love it! Looked into the PPK before but thought this has better options for the tuning. Just throwing it out there in case you haven't heard of this as another option.

OP drives an '08. No more factory warranty. Unless extended.

OP why you looking at PPK? If you are out of warranty there are better bang for the buck options.

Can't you easily uninstall the JB4 for warranty work anyways?

Yeah I have it but looking back wish I would have gone with COBB or JB4 because for the price it makes more sense and squeezes more from the engine.

Only value in PPK I see is getting stage 2, for those who track or want to reduce heat soak. PPK stage 2 adds the cooling components, and software flash to manage the accompanying hardware.

I believe the PPK2 cooling parts cannot be purchased seperately. They must be installed and exploited with the software flash, and expensive price tag that goes along with ...

May make sense to get the PPK2 kit for cooling, and add BMS JB4 piggyback or Cobb software flash performance upgrade on top. Cobb is the least painful to removed and add at will, should you still be under warranty.

Of course there is the extended warranty coverage for waste gate rattle that a dealer might blame on a tune.

They might, but since it is a known issue - hence the extended warranty - I suspect they don't look to hard for possbile causes. Of course I could be way off on that assumption.

Either way, just remove tune before you bring it in.

Is the cooling hardware the same thing as package S840A ("High speed synchronization")? I noticed that the PPK says it requires the car to have this package, which mine does.

Cooling hw is a higher output fan and auxiliary water cooler behind drivers side bumper air vent.

So basically if your car didn't come with option S840A then you can't add the PPK at all?

I'd be all over that if I had a N54.

I don't recall seeing it on the option sheet when I ordered my car last year.

And is it absolutely required for soem physical reason or just BMW tells the dealers not to install it without that option on the car?
