Fuse slot #5 question.
Have hard wired my V1 radar detector using a very helpful DIY thread on here however i have a question.
According to the thread people are using slot 8 or slot 5 in the fuse box. Most have used slot 5 as it's empty & not allocated to anything on their Fuse description booklet. Now my slot 5 is also currently empty however according to my fuse description booklet it is assigned to the steering wheel diagram. Anyone know what the pic means and what slot 5 is actually for? am i still ok to use that slot seeing there is currently no fuse in it? Thanks Last edited by Prodigy.; 09-02-2013 at 03:08 AM.. |

Not sure why yours No.5 had no fuse in it.
Sorry, I couldn't tell you what exactly it's for but I know mine has the fuse in it. I used it for switched 12+ on my road angel and blackvue cam.

I suspect the steering wheel icon is for EPS(electronic power steering). 135i's have good ol' hydraulic steering, hence no fuse. The diesel model 1ers have EPS.
