What's your daily driver?

I daily drive my 2011 E93 6 speed, and all is well. It's a 2011 with about 28k on it now.
My wife is 6 months preggers and I'm considering purchasing a car for her; she can't drive stick, and I doubt I would let her drive my M in any case.
I've got a great deal on a 2010 e350 4matic lined up, but was hoping to get something bigger for the winter, something Ram-esque or even Raptor-esque.
What do you daily drive in the winter? What do you let your pregnant, automatic driving wife get to her appointments in? I'm looking for inspiration.
I live in Jersey City, btw.

My wife drives Q7 TDI. 6600lbs towing capacity and awesome gas mileage. If 6600lbs is enough, could also look into Touareg or Cayenne. I believe diesel Touareg has 7000lbs+.

P.S. She's preggers too. Expecting in 4..5 weeks.

I drive a Audi A4 but had a Jeep GC Overland (new style) for the past two winters. It was a great vehicle. Until recently, my wife drove a Audi Q7 but has since been replaced with a Ford Escape. However, she is already looking at a replacement.

I put snow tires on my E90 M3 and drive it year round here in NH, where we get real snow compared to what the OP gets in NJ. My ideal year round car would be a 996TT or 997TT, with snows in the winter. Can't afford a 991TT.

The East Coast does not get real snow period.

Until folks have lived in Barrow Alaska or farther north, they have no idea what real Winter or real snow is.

I will try and dig up an old picture of the road with 7 inches thick of ice from the pavement up and a couple inches of snow on top of that. I don't think anywhere on the east coast have roads seen that thick of ice in the past 50 years.

I DD an 08 VW GTI which suits my needs very well. My wife drives a 10 Audi A4. If she were pregnant, I would still be very comfortable with her in the A4. All of our cars are manuals if that makes any difference. We both commute to Morgantown, WV (where it actually snows) and I have never felt the need to get a 4 wheel drive mini-van (SUV.) My friend just bought a ML550 and man is that thing huge.

My daily driver is my E92 M3, however my wife drives a Lexus RX 330 and she loves it! Even though she’s been talking more & more about wanting a BMW, so next summer I’ll probably upgrade her to the X5. Nevertheless we're done having kids, we have three ages 14, 9 and 5 two boys & a girl!

I'm a bachelor with 1 kid (5) -- My M3 is my DD, used to have a beater Honda Accord too but found I never used it and gave it to baby mama. Given the M3's front passenger seat airbag-defeating-butt-size-detection sensors, he rides up front with me -- I don't see what the big deal is about having kids and an M3. You guys need to make your wives drive the saloon car
