KW sleeve kit and new wheels

First pictures of the new wheels and the KW sleeve kit. Its set more or less all the way down at the moment. I'm waiting for the springs to settle before I set the ride height and get it aligned. There is no rubbing even at this low height. The rears tuck quite a bit. We also put in Dinan top mounts in the rear to give it a bit of extra travel.

Big thanks to Mason (sterile stork) for doing the install on the sleeve kit!

I'll take better pictures after I set the ride height.

You've received quite the warm response in the forbidden Facebook group It was a great time getting installed, still impressed by the quality of the KW product. Is it continuing to drop?

I'd say the rear looks the same. But the front has definitely come down a little.

Looks like the rear might be a tad lower than the front... Is that just me? Regardless, still looks great!

The rear is lower. The height hasn't been set yet. I'm giving the springs a week to settle before I set the final height and have an alignment done.

You've touched on a classic feature of most BMW fender arches--the rears cut to a height lower than the fronts. With a matched tire-to-fender gap front and rear, the car will have a slight forward rake. In any event, the collars are backed nearly to the absolute lowest points of travel.

I'm contemplating coming by for your tuning this weekend just to take a peek at the progress of the, "second lowering."

Just so you are aware. Many KW sleeve owners have reported that the springs continue to settle over time. You may have to reset the height and alignment in another 6 months to a year.

I'm taking the car to AR on Friday to have the alignment done. The height will likely be set as well. I'm sure I'll end up with a slight forward rake.

Thanks for the heads up. I remember reading something about that. The tires don't rub, so even if it continues to settle it won't cause any real issues.

I might see you there as AR will be getting the E46 M3 ready for a track day.

They're squeezing me in around 4pm. The E46 was fun to watch at the rose cup. It'd be cool to see it up close.

Ugh, don't remind me - this problem is about 10 times worse on the E30 chassis My E30 is nearly undrivable because it's so low due to matching the fender heights rather than the wheel gap. The illusion of having backwards rake drives me crazy though, so i dont drive it much unless i know every bump and dip of the route i'd be taking before leaving the house. I just wasnt sure if the sleeve kit was adjustable or not in this case, but it sounds like you've dropped the rears as much as possible.

All 4 corners are as low as they can go right now. In order to even out the fender gaps I need to raise the rear, which is what will likely happen. It has a slight reverse rake to it that I need to adjust out.

Haha its not "stanced" by any means. There is no tire stretch or anything poking out of the fenders. I just want to get the wheel gap even between the front and the rear. I'm not tracking the car so I don't need a full coilover setup.

I suppose I could have gotten a set of 18" volks like everyone else. Then again, those offsets and tire sizes are usually more aggressive than what I've got going on.
