So my car must not like Tekarbon Angel Eyes :(
This is the second set of led rings that's he's installed into my lights and it's been maybe two months and they're already failing again. The first set starting going in about the same time frame. I noticed the driver side light missing a few leds on Monday, then I went to take pictures today and the passenger side now had some out too. I think I give up, I pulled the fuse and I'm probably just going to order two new headlights from BMW and be done with it.

Well I've never heard of anyone else having to send there lights back in for failed LEDs and both times, almost a year apart, they started going in a couple months.

Everyone that I know in person that has done the angel eye mod, any brand, has had failed headlights after 2~3 years if not during the first year. As good as it looks I'll never bother with it.

Look pretty sweet and sorry about your trouble but as far as headlights are concerned I've always just been happy to leave well enough alone for precisely this reason.

I had this happen about 6 months outside of the warranty period. The thing that sucks is the car was only driven for a few months. It was down for a DIY supercharger install, and then it was stored for 8 months while I was deployed. It's going to cost $100 + shipping each way.

Hmm...that's odd. I haven't had any issues with my Tekarbons. It's been well over a year since I got them, that's for sure.
Also, my original CCFL halo rings that I installed on my E46 325Ci are still going strong after 6 years of usage Albeit, they're not always turned on; since they're blue and the police don't like blue Last edited by mfanatic325; 08-11-2013 at 11:49 PM.. |

I'd do it myself next time.
Once they've been opened, it can't be that hard to do.

That's what I figure. Once I get another set of lights I wont care about these so much. Then I can somehow get them open and mess with it myself.
