A Shout Out to Mike Benvo
Last night Mike completed the final programming of my Combox retrofit. I have used Mike in the past for a tune, and what difference that made to my car! I ordered the Combox some months ago, but due to severe work constraints was able to complete the retrofit this week. We completed the process over the phone, my advice is to wear a headset so you are able to have both hands free while Mike is leading you thorough the removal of the obsolete parts and the retrofit of the Combox. I also had my Surefire LED flashlight handy to provide additional light on the subject, this was extremely helpful. I am mechanically unsound, and should not really be allowed near to tools of any kind, however, apart from the trickiness of some of the electrical connectors, I was able to get through the process just fine. Mike is the consummate multi-tasker, and has infinite patience while guiding you through the process. During the Combox programming session, he also removed the pesky double pull interior door handle nonsense, and included one touch window up (on the key fob). I now have Bluetooth music from my iPhone 5, in addition to album art when plugged into the center console USB port. I intend to add his DCT software upgrade later this month. I am going to assume that Mike is very successful, he tends to work very long hours on complex problems, we have on two occasions spoken after 10pm PDT, so I would suggest that you be respectful of his time. His tone and inflection over the phone never changes, he is thoughtful, persistent, and a consistent and valuable asset to our e92 M3 and BMW community. if I were in any type of talent acquisition position at BMW, I would hire him without question. Thanks again for a fantastic job Mike, I sincerely appreciate what you do!

I talked to him this past weekend just to ask some questions and I agree he's a pleasure to talk to. It says a lot, I hope he wins more customers every day.

I just sent him an email to find out about some remote coding. Customer service goes a log way with me, so if he is as good as you say then I will happily send him my money for this.

If you don't hear back from his email I would call him. He is VERY busy. I was initially turned off to BPM because he didn't respond "quick enough" to my email. But because of all the glowing reviews I gave him a call and I'm extremely happy I did. I recently went to a BMW meet and I felt like I was a rep for BPM (I was pushing it so hard).

I swear Benvo is a living legend! he has done so much for my 2 cars. tuning, coding, retrofitting, you name it he has done it. I do not get to drive my M much and everytime I get the itch to trade it in and get a new car, all it takes is a quick drive with BPM stage 2 and 8000+ rpm shifts and I forget all about trading my baby in. Thanks Mike, and thank you for all you do for the community.

Agreed! Highly recommend Mike, he is a genious at multi tasking and knows his stuff. I got his BPM tune last night and cannot wait for some back road and straights. He needs to "clone" himself.

I told Mike once before that he should work for NASA... He really is the consummate professional. Exactly the reason why I have referred almost 1/2 dozen of my friends to him.
Keep up the great work Mike!!

I myself have had almost every tune in the book. BPM is what I run now, wouldn't have it any other way.
