Ready to return a lease Z4, what to look for? And with question.

I am ready to return the lease Z4. Is there anything that I am clean up before returning the car? What do they look for upon return inspection?

And BTW, we have a slight mushroom / crack on the wind shield, would repair be acceptable upon return? Or would it be cheaper to replace the wind shield before returning the car? (sorry for the bad cell phone photo)

I would call safelite and have them repair it before the inspection. It will likely disappear.

Won't disappear, the mark will always be there but at least it won't spread. I have 2 safelite repairs on my Z, BMW glass seems thinner than other cars.

Get it repaired. If the repair doesn't obstruct the drivers vision, or isn't in the line of the drivers vision, you should be good to go.......and much cheaper.....not to mention, they'll probably screw it up trying to replace it.

I had one done on a Q7 and I can't even see it now. Some repairs I have had aren't so dramatic. I think it is worth a shot though.

follow up: the car is returned to the dealer, they didn't charge us for the wind shield.

but that maybe on the mercy of the inspector ..
