Neighbor's cat!

So I washed and polished my car yesterday. This morning I came in to the garage and there were cat paw prints all over the trunk roof and hood! Does anyone know of a way that doesn't involve a gun as how to prevent this from happening. I will do a car cover if I have to but hassle. Possibly a cat repellant spray? I do plan on speaking to the neigbors but don't want to come off like a douche. Flame suit on.

A dog may be your best solution.

Only cat paws? I got raccoon paws, cat paws, and I think even the possums somehow get up there. Get a dog.

Ugh. This happens to me every time I visit my parents. About the only way is going to be get it into a garage (that closes). Failing that, your best option is to cover it. Basically, if it wants to get up there, it's going to. As silly as this sounds, I have heard tale of propping a broom up against the car as a way of keeping them from wanting to jump on it, but I haven't tried that.

Perhaps a special blend of meatball treats for the kitty's last meal? Made with cat love, aka antifreeze

Put it in the garage. Paw prints are one thing but wait until it slips and scratches your clear coat..........

Well, at least there are no mice or other vermin under the hood gnawing on wires.

Could be worse. I went outside once and found a very angry pit-bull on the roof of my car, yes the roof. Scratched the whole car up.

As a cat owner, the only thing short of a car cover would be to arm yourself with a spray bottle and hawkishly guard your car. It would only take, say, three or four instances of spraying the cat when it gets near your car to instill in it a fear of doing so. But then you'd have to be pretty vigilant in the beginning. Since that's not practical, I'll join the others and say: car cover.

I'm just glad our cats are deathly afraid of the garage even without the added deterrence of a spray bottle.

There you go. Then be sentenced to jail for animal cruelty.

Op, how about a car cover? I had to do buy one because my cat was leaving her marks all over.

Just a thought? Can your cat open the door to get into the garage?

buy a trap at home depot for $50.

cover the trap with a burlap sack, place newspaper on the bottom. open a can of tuna, stick it inside and set the trap.

come back in 24 hours, see if you caught anything. if the cat is inside, take a metal skewer and stab the fuck out of the cat.

get a shovel, bury the dead cat. problem solved.
