RPI exhaust - one side black?
See pic attached. Why is only one of the two exhaust pipes black? If exhaust is exiting both pipes (on each side of the car; 4 pipes total...only two of which are black), why would only one turn black?

Very little exhaust travels into the smaller diameter pipe, even though there is a side port with a screen. I removed the screen and nothing really changed in terms of of the amount of exhaust soot/carbon buildup. Just keep it clean with soapy water.

Thanks guys. I really should keep them cleaner. The rest of the car is immaculate, but after a while I started thinking the black exhaust looked a little bad *ss. ;-)

What they said, more flow out of one side. If you're DDing the car you'll see a lot more build up too. Try adding some of that Armor All Wheel Protectant Spray to them after cleaning them and it should reduce how much carbon builds up and should make the next cleanings easier too.
