Unique idea...

So my friend does car "dipping" where you can paint any part or the whole car a color and whenever you choose you can peel it off... So, here's an idea I'm toying with. I have a Le Mans blue 135 and I have the M color grill stickers so I thought maybe it'd be a cool color combo/tribute to the M colors to do my roof in red. I can choose to have it a normal shiny finished red or a matte red with some pearl in it for some shimmer in the light.... Thoughts?

You'll need that dark blue color too.

Le Mans blue is pretty dark as is but not too dark and actually matches the dark blue in the M colors pretty well

Yea I was thinking the same but don't know if it'd be TOO much doing mirrors and roof red

Going to dump the car on coils next month so it'd flow nicely with aggressive stance and some aggressive sport flare with that red on blue...

I wouldnt do the roof AND the mirrors, but rather test it on the mirrors and if you like it take it off the mirrors and do the roof. That way you haven't wasted all that time if you dont like it.

I guess... but really im trying to keep it as minimal and tasteful looking as possible. Im not doing every inch of the roof, I'm going from this black line inward only.... basically the very center big piece of the roof and I'm leaning towards the gloss red rather than matte

Sounds like it could look awesome. On another note, how did you do the stripes on your left kidney grille? Very subtle.

Sticker kit they sell. The kit sells for $15 or so shipped off a site and actually brings quite a few. I have 7 more stripes of each color left still.

It's always easily reversible so why not give it a go. I'd be very interested in seeing the end result.

Better that the dip chips rather than the paint IMO. If layed on thick enough it'll provide some protection for your paint. Not as good as a proper wrap but better than nothing at all. Besides, if it chips it's not that hard just to peel it off and re-dip it.

P.S. the stripes on my car (in my profile pic) are plasti-dip (did it myself). Probably been on there for about 3 months so far and I drive over 100km a day and I only have 1 chip on the thick stripe on the bonnet.
