I've done a lot of research regarding this. Clearance is tight so you need to make sure that you take measurements before selecting a seat. The main issue is lateral clearance between the shoulder supports and the door.
Standard Sparco Evo's as well as Evo 2's would fit just. If you need the GT wide shoulder version then you're out of luck. After selecting some seats then you need to get the side mounts for the seat, floor mounts, 3 pt seat belt mount, seat slider rails, 4 pt harness mount and then finally the 5/6 pt harness mount. All up the cost of mounts is more than the seats themselves. VAC motor sports and Macht Schnell make the prefabbed mounts. Another option would be to have some custom made which would probably work out to be like a third of the price. You will save approximately 20kg per side going with fixed back bucket seats but you will lose your side airbag and will get annoying airbag, restraint and passenger occupancy warnings. It's possible to get these fixed with a module but it will cause all available airbags to go off in the event of a crash. BMW Performance seats are nice but they're not exactly lightweight (though still maybe 5-8kg lighter than stock) and when I sat in them they weren't very supportive like buckets are. They also cost an absolute ton. A set of fixed buckets and mounts will set you back from $1000 to $2500+ depending on what seat and mounting options you choose.

Just remember that if you have fixed-back seats it will be very difficult to access the rear seats.

Not exactly... Never understood why someone would buy a nicely appointed car and then proceed to tear things out of it and/or make it less useful. For a race car yes, but on a street car it makes no sense to me.
But that's the beauty of modding. To each their own.
