Back in another Z4MC!
so, it has been almost two years since i sold my old interlagos z4mc to fellow zposter steve (thank you so much for the continued deluge of enabling photographs!), and now am finally back in another.
thank you to ron, krissi, paul and brian for responding to my query on rattling front sway bar (more on that shortly) over on fb. always appreciate the continued help and gracious community that zpost has over the years grown into. anyway, the low down: full euro spec july '07 black sapphire metallic, imola seats + embroided ///m logo on the headrests, power adjustable seats, navi and carver dsp with upgraded amp. existing mods: alms race team's carbon fiber roof robson design carbon fiber interior uuc evo3 short shift kit with zhp shift knob (non-lighted) strong strut bar and braces shrick 280/272 street performance cams with dlc followers ground control sways front and rear (extra large front and rear) complete and sealed 3.91 differential bms air filter ultimate ss foot pedals front park distance control (yes, i was like whyyyyyyy) front brake duct leds (another ughhhhhhhh) just had inspection 2 done with the valves adjusted, full fluid flushes including transmission and diff, new ignition coils, fixed a couple of minor leaks and an o2 sensor fault. only thing left is still the niggling rattle of the gc front sway which is 100% the cause since there is no rattling with the front sway removed. following up with gc on this. anyway, just over the moon being back in an m coupe, no less back home here in singapore. will be getting a taller clutch stop, mangowalk stubby, and as yet undecided on exhausts. poorest pics i've ever taken (it is seriously hot and hazy now): |

Nice ride mate. Love the card reader in your front window. Crazy they haven't come up with something a tad smaller in Singas yet for thier road system.
Love the car though, nice set of mods ; D Enjoy : ) |

Gorgeous ... front PDC is most likely to keep the fangs from getting fucked up.

Thanks all for the warm welcome back. It's much more challenging driving the m coupe around singapore.
There's a newer, slimmer card reader thing tt can also wirelessly add credit to the cashcard. Figures tt it also costs another $200 to 'upgrade' to that. It's really a tax-on-demand piece of kit haha. The cams were done in conjunction with the diff about 3 years ago so I'm unsure how much of the additional gains/driving feel is from the cams alone. I have the dyno numbers which I'll post up when I get home. My initial impressions - good grief this thing's waaaaay more powerful than I remember! Car is in for a full detail now. |

Sweet car! Say's alot about a car when people sell and then buy same model again. Cams are on my list down the road and also the 3.91 gears.

i will take a video in-car of how things sound now with the shrick cams and euro-spec headers and cats. it's quite a fair bit louder (me thinks 30% at least) than us-spec and the engine through the revs above 3000 onwards to 8 is just positively mental! Quote:
thank u ryan for the opportunity and the unabashed help throughout the purchase process. am flattered over 'awesome hands' but i will do my best to keep her tip-top. already spending more than i'd imagine i would within the first 2 weeks of ownership! now about those leds.... anyway, will post up pics post-detail since it's already dark here. anyone here can offer an opinion on eisenmann race? already read through the comprehensive exhaust comparison. |
