Props for Dr Colorchip

I had ordered a touch up kit from them a few weeks ago and used it this weekend for the first time. I have had other kits from them in the past and they were always a great match. This time, for my Sepang, not so much. Way too dark, though I do understand that metallics, especially lighter ones, are difficult to match.

I emailed them yesterday to ask for suggestions as I now have a dark scratch repair. I had three emails back from Dan McCool late last night then a phone call from a lady this morning. They wanted to make it right so offered to make another batch of A32 and even suggested they lighten it more than normal to hopefully allow it to blend in better (I can always add dark if needed). Just got a UPS tracking number that a replacement bottle is on its way.

Now THAT's customer service!

Awsome! Great to know that they're that good to work with. I picked up a "bright red" kit late last year and it worked like a charm, but i didn't really have (or seek) any interaction with them. Thanks to the folks here for turning me on to them.

Anybody with Interlagos Blue used this product? Their description for color code A30 is Interlagos Blue Pearl, the BMW name is Interlagos Blue Metallic. Pearl is a lot different than a metallic!

Does this work only for "chips", or does it do anything for small scratches?

Works better on chips, but I have used on scratches. It does not eliminate the chip. You can still see "the chip", but it colors it so from afar it is not noticeable.

Easy to use and well worth the money I spent on it. Will do well until I get the time to have the froint bumper and hood resprayed

If you do multiple layers, you can fill a lot of chips. Or, like me, you can fill with a clear then wetsand and polish.
