Bolt on Fender Flares

Anybody considered doing this to their 1? I see it on Miatas all the time. I realize people do that because it's an inexpensive car and no worries if they screw it up. However, I've seen it on higher end cars such as Porsches and others. It's an easy way to get more tire under the arches without going with a crazy expensive 1M setup.

I figure half the enthusiasts say don't go 1M because it's wanna-be and on the flip side the bolt on's are tacky, given it's a BMW. Just an idea. I'd love to see examples but I doubt anyone's done it.

I'd figure thats like the last kind of modification you would do. Like, go as far with the suspension you can leaving the car as is, when you've maxed out the cars potential then the next step would be to go insanely wide wheels/lowest offsets
