Poly Front Diffuser finally installed
Here are pics of my new poly front diffuser.
I finally got around to installing this and put on my summer rims and tires. Pretty good fit considering how cheap it was. I paid about $125 on ebay - delivered from California Last edited by audi4t; 04-13-2013 at 05:02 PM.. Reason: Added picture |

See, in some pictures i love how it looks and in others, i dont at all. Unfortunately here, i dont like how it looks. Maybe its because its an un-painted ABS/poly piece. If it was painted or at least a little closer to looking finished, i would like it. And i also dont like the fins at all. I know someone around here removed them but didnt do a great job cleaning up that edge.
For 125 shipped to you, you really cant beat it. |

what did you use to install yours? Looks like your middle section fits better than mine. Mine kind of pulls up in the middle, while yours looks straight and flat.
Nice! The ABS/Poly actually compliments the lower bumper grills nicely. Painting this item would be a waste of time and money.

I used the original screws that secure the bumper underneath on the outer edges. In the middle I added a couple of extra holes and used self tapping screws to secure the diffuser to the original bumper. I was pleasantly surprised how well the holes and the diffuser lined up with the oem bumper.

How secure is it with those fasteners? Do you think it would hold at 100+ or should maybe some bolts/washers be used to really secure it?
Sarge135 got this same lip last week. Fitment at first seemed to be off, but once it was lined up and installed it fit fine. Honestly, it's a good looking bumper protector for a good price. I just think the car needs some skirt addons to complete the look. Seeing that nobody makes any one specifically for the e82, I'm going to take some measurements of the skirt and see if I can source some ABS addons that don't look too ghetto and match the raw abs finish of this lip. |

It looks great, just those little wings.. gah. I would have gotten one if cutting them off didn't look ghetto.
Great install btw, best I've seen this look so far.

Had the 128 non m-sport version on my car, ripped off using provided hardware and stock hardware after doing 120 a few too many times. Took it off, scraped too much anyway since im lowered, but i do miss the look minus the wings.
