I feel like some/most of this already exists on the current high beam assist.
I know that on my 2013 it is able to at least dim one headlight at a time. So that one will be on brights while the other not. I am not sure if it actually moves away though like shown in the video. |

This is very cool technology and I think a leap forward. But for the Americans here, the US DOT recently disallowed them (for Audi as well I believe) until they could investigate further. These guys are killing me.

I have a 2014 650iX GC but haven't been able to tell whether the high beam assist works as in the video. It certainly works the low beams when traffic is on-coming but I can't tell if one light or both are lowered.
I need to find a friend to drive his car at me, at night!

I noticed last night that our current adaptive LED lights shift beam angle whenever the front fog lamps are activated. Thought I was imagining it initially. Anyone else noticed it on their 6'ers?

I will look into that. I haven't been driving her for the past two weeks since the weather has been nice enough to take the bike out, but my car could use some exercise, (just looking at an excuse to get behind the wheel of this thing again) so, since it's raining today, i will take the car instead of the bike. I will check to see if the headlights adjust in any way when the fog light are on.

Someone's going to die in the process of figuring out exactly what these lights do. lol
I draw the line at making a video mounting my iPhone to the front bumper. Got a couple of old iPhones I don't mind sacrificing, but I can't risk scratching the bumper.

Here is a decent demonstration on the 3 series. You can tell only one light dips sometimes, and sometimes it moves out of the way. This is with adaptive lights but non led. The last three minutes or so shows it best.

I have a nighttime driving video or two on my YouTube channel. They don't show the lights head-on, rather from the driver's seat. The video doesn't show the features as clearly as the promo video above, but the corner illumination, whiteness, etc. are pretty apparent.

I tried to test my lights to see if I has the same results you did, and I did not notice my lights doing the same thing yours are doing... I am wondering if a trip to the service center is in order...? My test was stopping at a furniture store on the way to work this morning. The furniture store is closed that time in the morning, so the parking lot was empty, so I could use their huge windows as a mirror for the headlights. I notice that when the headlights are firsr activated, the is a cool leveling motion that takes place. But there was absolutely no movement of the headlights when I turned on the foglamp LEDs. In fact once my headlights were on, there was no agdjutments or movements to them no matter what position I put the headlight switch in... so I'm not sure if that is how it is supposed to be, or if something isn't working right on my car. I do have the adaptive LED stampped on the headlight housing, and also the M Sport package so I'm not sure if any of that makes a difference. BTW, I have to say that this car is simply amazing. Today is the first time I drove it in two weeks and I didn't want to stop, lol. I am currently running possible usable excuses I may be able to use to skip out of work just to go for a drive! I have problems.... lol. Oh yeah, the 6'er looks incredibly aggressive from the reflection I was using in that window... on coming drivers must be thinking "what the hell is that!"... ..not may 6 series running around my neck of the woods... yet... but that was the same when I first picked up my X6 all those years ago... now X6's are all over the place...
