Did anyone else notice this re: Last Drive Mode Setting?
Ok, maybe you all knew this already, but I just noticed this recently.
If you shut off the car, but without engaging the alarm, the car remembers your last drive mode setting (e.g., Sport Mode) when you start it up again. |

Mine automatically switches to Comfort if I get out of the car in Sport. If its in Comfort+, then it will remain in Comfort+. Is there a new iDrive setting that appeared with a software update?

I don't have an alarm. It just defaults to Comfort whenever I'm in a Sport mode. A while back in early 2012 we had a discussion about being annoyed by the car not letting us stay in Sport mode every time we get in the car.
Maybe something changed for the 2013s. I've become accustomed to changing every time I get in the car. I know in mid-MY 2012 production they changed from "Comfort, Normal Sport, Sport+" to "Comfort+, Comfort, Sport, Sport+". Mine has the latter as it was built in 12/2012. They seemed to make several changes that weren't really publicized. M Sport and B&O weren't available from the beginning of production on the convertibles, which were unorthodoxly launched first. They made the change to the DDC modes as mentioned above. The black trim around the mirrors changed from matter black to gloss black (that matches the Shadowline trim) on all cars irregardless of brushed aluminum or Shadowline trim. Seems like there may have been one or two other differences we found as people started getting their cars and sharing info.

How long are you waiting before you start the car again? If you don't set the alarm the electronics should shut themselves down after 5min, that's when the cluster resets.

My 2014 reverts to Comfort when turned off, whether I was in Sport or EcoPro or whatever.
