Question ESS E-Flash Installer Download?

Ok I just installed the program from the memory stick that comes with the cable but when I run it an error message comes out saying that the version is expired to request the latest version from the program vendor!

I already went to ESS website but there's no where to download from. Have anyone ran into this problem? I got the windows installer version 8.

just write roman and/or ess software dept email address and they'll send you the new software installer. same thing happened to me. they do a couple updates a year so sometimes you get the old software installer.

Intermittent wipers can also be a sign of low battery voltage. This does happen in some vehicles during flashing - the pre-test in the E-Flash software should give a good indication on battery life before flashing.

Thanks for the info! I'll make sure my battery is fully charge before I read my ECU.

Good to know! HGMS was nice enough to let me borrow a trickle charger to prevent my battery dying during the tune.

I was actually surprised I didn't get any error codes from the Idrive during the flash as others have alluded to. Overall by far, the quickest and easiest mod I've ever done

What should I do if the wipers turn on during flashing? Charge the battery afterwards?

No need. Chances are if your car is new or newer, you don't really need the trickle charger. Just drive it around for a bit after tuning to recharge the battery.
