M 5 Colour choice

OK here it is, I am thinking of the F10 M5 in september, I usually keep a car for ONE year, but this one I really need to keep for two as depreciation will be a bit higher.
Now we come to colour choice, I have two in Mind, Monti Carlo Blue or Silverstone II.
I think Monti Carlo Blue is a bit common on this car but I still like it.
Silverstone II is a bit rearer here IMO.
Which do you guys think would be the best colour two own and keep clean?.
Thanks J

I'm in the process of ordering one at the moment and was stuck between black and mc blue. In the end I think blue will be the final choice. I guess you aren't taking advantage of BMWs 0% offer then, as you have to order by the end of March. It's such a good deal I couldn't give it a miss, especially with some of the dealer deposit contributions being offered as well.

I think it depends on the dealer, my dealer will offer that in september for sure, it's been going for a long while now.
Also £2K +10% off is the starting point.

Yes there are certainly deals to be had, at the moment I'm getting the 4yrs 0% finance with a 14% discount off car/options/service pack. There might be room for a little more negotiation too. Thats with a good offer on my px. It's too good a deal to turn down.

If you want to look at different colours I can recommend this site:

I'm kind of liking this colour :

I say go with Silverstone! You need to know how to spell "Monte Carlo", to be able to own one. I kid I kid...
Best bet is to see the colors live. I saw Silverstone after I ordered my MCB, and felt it was more low key, which is more consistent with my style.
Photos simply wont cut it. Live is key!

Slight typing error there.
Yes I have seen Silverstone II in the flesh and IMO it looks good, not seen MCB though, still looking.

MCB all the way in my opinion. I've seen two and when they are cleaned they compliment the car too well! And at night it's looks amazing under street lights.
Guess it depends if you want something more suttle, then silver stone is the way to go in that case.

Thanks need to see MCB in the flesh, then I will make up my mind, this is what I have now 330D M Sport touring. This is EBII, looks good but might be too similar to SCB.

Several changes since this pic but you can do a LOT with SS to make it look awesome! "Accent" pieces really stick out well. Check out the stripe on the CF spoiler. Satin Charcoal HREs are going to highlight the color very nicely....I would definitely go Silverstone II but hey, I am biased.

Thanks! Just pulled the wrap off the roof and went ahead and painted it black including all the rails. Looks far better. Also have modified OEM exhaust with black tips. Should have me HRE S101s in 2 weeks. Satin Charcoal centers and barrel and Brushed Tinted Clear lip. I think it will really tighten up the look with SS color to contrast. Waiting on the Vorsteiner kit for the car (due next month sometime). Will have CF lip, side splitters and rear diffuser. Will wait to see if their decklid spoiler looks nice enough to replace the BMW Performance spoiler. If they come out with a roof spoiler I will likely order it too. I have an ACS on order for now.

The IND parts look fantastic on SS too.

I've wanted White since Day 1, but if I were deciding between the two, this thread would be the tie-breaker for me.

Funny, that post got me too! But I think there was a little Photoshop handy work to pop the blues out.
Regardless it reconfirmed my decision!

Same two finalists for me as well. Ordered both at one point. Silverstone won in the end.

Both are gorgeous. Subtle vs ostentatious. There are times I wish I had one over the other. Either way you can't lose.

haha! I am the same way. Total flip of a coin for me. Definitely my two favorites as well. I came out of two Carbon Black cars so I wanted something different. Funny thing is that I was going to order the Sakhir Orange but then this one showed up at the dealer as an ordered car that the buyer did not purchase and it really blew me away, so off I went with it. Funnier still is that I was only at the dealer to follow my wife to drop off her X5 for service. What a bill that trip turned out to be!

I don't think you can go wrong either way. I think SS is a bit more unique. Looks a little more "serious" too if that makes sense.
