Every car is different, and so are the wheels. Tirerack does as good or better of a job keeping up with the dimesions than anyone.

going to see what the retailer in CT has to say about some 19 inch BBS RS-Gt's, 19 by 8 and 19 by 10 in the back... unless 8.5 fits upfront

JMO, but I think 20" are a little over the top on this car...
But, yeah the normal M3 offsets should work, unless he was extreme with rolled fenders etc.

I was considering them because they're nice and cheap as hell. the guy was selling the set for $900.

after seeing them, they're in pretty bad shape. so, no 20"ers for me.

Did you measure? Are they closer to 8.25 or something?

I believe stock sizing for 18" rims are 18x8 and 18x8.5 for front and back respectively.
17" rims are 17x7 all around.

I picked up a set of 18x8 and 18x9 for myself.
