carbon fiber roof replacement

hi guys, im new on this site but have been on m3 cutters for some time now, i am in the process of manufacturing carbon roofs for the e46 coupe, i have alot of experience in the carbon industry and techniques, i have my own company who designs and produces custom carbon bathroom suites and kitchens. So since i have an m3 i wanted to do some custom parts for it which is now going to be including a carbon roof,

so with this in mind i thought i would gauge the reaction of the e9x croud to see if any one would be interested in carbon roofs for the e9x. if so i will get onto it for you guys and get one on the go while i do my roof.

look forward to the feed back guys,

The E92 already comes with a carbon roof from the factory (unless it was ordered with a sunroof). The E90 and E93 don't have the carbon roof option at all.

Are you suggesting custom carbon roofs for the E90 and for E92s with sunroofs?

I am an expert in 7 speed dual clutch transmissions. Just thought I'd see if any of you would be interested in having one for your e9x...

So much for the OP's market research.

OP, there are already CF options for the E90 series cars (sedans) and I believe someone makes one for the 92 coupes too. There's nothing the the E93 convertible guys as far as I know.

No aftermarket option will come close to the fit and finish of the OEM CF roof and its a free option on the e92...not everyone is meant to have a CF roof

LOL.

I think there could be a limited market for the e90 given the right price. Install would be a big issue though.

Most of the e92 owners with a moonroof likely wanted a moonroof to begin with.

Wow:

Installation requires the removal and re-install of front and rear glass. What a PITA

Some pics of an install here http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=528825

Since the e46 m3, I've always wondered how rigidity is affected by replacing spot welds on a steel roof with glue on a CF roof. The roof is not suppose to be a structural part on those cars, but not sure if the same applies to the e90.
