Ten Commandments of Modding
Thought it would be fun to try and put together a list. Feel free to substitute or add your own; if there are more than 10 it can be Father Guido Sarducci's 15 Commandments.
1. Do not put something on your car that is not at least the same quality of what you are removing. 2. Make sure it fits before you buy. 3. You can never have enough power. 4. The car is never "good enough" and can always be better. "This is the last one" is famous last words. 5. "This modification will improve the gas mileage for my car" is an acceptable reason for a spouse to accept a power modification. 6. Don't modify the car to change the character of the car. 7. See it in person before you buy it for yourself. 8. If you use your maintenance budget for modifications, you will have a bad time. 9. Don't assume everyone, including the future buyer of your car, will like your modifications. You can spend a lot of money on a hello kitty makeover, but it will not get full value returned on sale. 10. Proper installation is cheaper in the long run.

LOL. Do an Internet image search on hello kitty cars and you will be surprised. I have two girls and was thinking of those images when creating the list

But my performance intake DOES improve my engine's efficiency. It also however sounds very good and makes me want to rev it so often and drive it harder, which causes my efficiency to go down
It's a good thing I dont have a faster car because I would not be able to afford the speeding tickets... |

Disagree with #3, there comes a point where power simply isn't useful and you probably will be having more fun with an adequate output. Big power is very fun for a while, but since it's never enough, it's best to have something adequate that lets you extract the car's full potential.
The rest is great. |

A few other things that I have learned from 15 or so years in this hobby.
Buy once, cry once. It's cheaper to buy a good quality part once, instead of a cheap quality part twice. Stick to the plan. Make a gameplan for your car and STICK TO IT. IE don't waste your money on a pulley and intake when you plan on a blower later. Double the budget. Seriously, double it. There is ALWAYS an unforseen expense that comes up. It can be parts, tools, or something else. If you want something done right, DO IT YOURSELF!

Enzo Ferrari reportedly despised most of his customers. Now I know why.

I kinda like the brake calipers . If that was the only Hello Kitty thing on a car, I think it would be hilariously funny.
#3 should be changed to "You can never have enough power, just too little traction."
