The Devil back in my head made me say it :)

I would contact the James Bond development boys, they have this all under control for so many years.

Do you even bother to read what you post before firing it off? Even a complete moron could write a better post.

Seriously. People who can't even type a coherent sentence are buying M3's now? How hard is it to write a post that people can understand?

Why? you're only asking for more trouble then it's worth for these things.

I'll take my chance and park and drive with no front plates.

While I'm very reluctant to lend any kind of credibility to this thread ... there are some states that require a front plate. There are drivers in those states that don't think their whips look cool with the front plate. So they want to be able to deploy the plate on demand when they spot the 5-0.

Ow, my brain hurts just typing that.

My state requires a front plate, and I'm one of those rare drivers that doesn't really want to give local law enforcement yet another lucrative reason to pull me over. I am also not that concerned about the look of the vehicle matched license holder. That being said, for those who don't like the drilled holder, there is always the tow hook option-or just driving without plates and tempting fate.

This seems unnecessarily complicated-and doesn't even look that nice to boot. I don't think that I even need to mention that associating your M with anything ever done as an option for a Smart Car is also ever likely to be considered "cool".

Anything in the name of added weight and complexity!

Perhaps you can wire some neon up under there while you are at it.

Personally I hate front plates and the way they look. Hence I have no plates on the front of any of my cars. One of the problems in California is that if your getting a parking ticket and there is no plate they will also site you for that. Also its a fine not a fix it ticket even though I think you still have to get it fixed still a fine regardless as I had a friend that got one in San Francisco. Others do it to escape tolls thru fast track lanes. Thats if they don't have a plate on the back or have one that flips also.

OP in case you haven't realized, there are no M3's on this forum with automatic powered retractable frames....one day there will be. In the meantime, prepared to be flamed for your incoherent questioning on the M3 forums
