Finally Ordered My 2013 E92 M3 via ED

Well after lurking on here with the occasional post the last several years, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a 2013 M3 a few weeks ago via ED with David Aviles. For those of you still contemplating an ED even after the recent change to M cars coming out of dealers alotment I would recommend that you give him a call you may be surprised at what the pricing is.

No options except Carbon Leather Trim and Fox Red Interior. Almost went with sport cloth but I love the Speed Racer look too much! Exterior is the rare Alpine White I know it's been done to death but I think it's a classic. This ones a keeper so I wanted to make sure to minimize what can breakdown over time or make the car look dated such as Nav and other gizmos.

Still waiting for production number and confirmation of my ED date but I've requested mid January. This will be my fourth BMW, I currently have a 95 M3 coupe as a DD, previously owned a 98 M3 as well as a 91 E30 318I Vert. So I would view myself as an enthusiast. Not to get too much into detail, but I've been toiling away for the last 3.5 years working in Nigeria 6 months a year (Oil and Gas) and I've used the eventual purchase of this M3 as the ultimate carrot to keep myself motivated.

ED is an especially good deal for me as I fly so much for work - International flight every month either flying out to work or coming back that I'll definitely be able to pay for my flight with miles. Looks like I've only got about 6 months or so left on this project or 3 more 1 month trips in actuality so it was time to place the order. I'll keep everybody posted!

Congrats!

I picked up my first M via ED last year and it was a blast!

Make sure you go to the Nurburgring ring and Porsche Museum in Stuttgart (you can even schedule a factory tour at the Porsche Museum).

Enjoy your trip!

Congratulations and welcome to the best ///M forum on the net

One tip (you may know about it being an international traveler) when you are on the autobahn make sure yo observe the speed limits posted near cities and construction sites. Fatalities on the German autobahn are up and unmarked police cars will video tape offenders then pull them over and fine you. As a none resident you will have to pay on the spot. They will take you to the next rest area all have ATM's .... Some have paid as high as €500.00 so be on guard and enjoy your ED

Planning to do the same around April/May next year. How much discount did you get?

Thanks for all the congrats.

My plan is to do the quick and dirty, I actually made a 2 weeks trip summer before this recent one, went to the three day M Celebration held at the Nurburgring, Drove on the autobahn in a rental of course, went to the BMW Museum and Zentrum etc. That's why I don't mind doing it in middle of winter, I plan to fly in show up, sign the papers pay the 40 Euros to have them drop it off for me and I'm on my way out.

I have been accumulating quite a few upgrades over the last few years including a set of Work Brombachers, Challenge Exhaust and Street X Pipe, Arkym Lip and Diffuser and few other items so I'm ready to go.

One option I forgot to list is I did choose spoiler delete and am going with the port installed Competition spoiler.

First, congrats on your stripper M3 - I've ordered many like that and really enjoy my cars bare bones. Great color choice, too.

I'd seriously rethink your decision to fly in and then right out tho... You're using a ton of miles and sitting in a plane for all those hours, so at least make a weekend trip out of it. You're in Germany - enjoy it.

Overlord! You are on your way!! I am so happy to have been a part of your experience so far. The best is yet to come! I'll be in Munich in a couple weeks to make sure they pick out a nice spot to present your BMW to you.

As usual please call my cell or email if you have any questions, or if you just need someone to talk to (the waiting can be brutal lol). But it's more than worth it! Hope it keeps raining in Nigeria to keep things cool.

All the best,

David

Not to get into too much detail but Yes Nigeria is not a great place to work and live but I do it for the money.

Thanks for all the tips on Germany and even though I said in and out I will stay for at least 2 or 3 nights but I'm not a big winter weather type of guy having grown up in Arizona and I did spend 2 weeks traveling in Germany 2 summers ago so I'm good.

As for pricing I think it's worth dropping David an email or giving him a call what's the worse that could happen?

Thank's David don't forget to send me that production number as soon as you get it I'm going crazy here!!!

What kind of work do you do in Nigeria? How is it there? Thats not the place that I hear a lot of people from the US being able to work in.

It seems like its the email scam capital of the world. At least a few years ago it was.

Nigeria is one of the top producers in Africa of Oil and Natural Gas and they are one of the main suppliers to the US. There is a huge industry here made up of expatriates either in operations/maintenance or construction of Oil Refineries etc. Just 10 mins by chopper out in the ocean from where I work at there are multiple offshore platforms. I see them when I fly in and out of work on the 50 seater Dash 8 Twin Prop.

You can only enter Nigeria on work visa, there is no tourist visa that I'm aware of. Corruption is part of the culture here, it's sad but it's true so it's not surprising that so many of the email scammers are from Nigeria. English is also their formal language as they were previously a British colony etc.
