chasis number can identify bad oil pump?
I have not collected my car yet, but my SA gave me my chasis number, and I ran it on vin decoder and got this information.
I have two questions, it would be great if you fella members can help me from looking at decode information, whether I can tell if I have the bad oil pump, and what version of navi do I have? Last edited by lumberman; 10-13-2012 at 10:47 AM.. Reason: wrong information |

It's not a bad fuel pump its an oil pump and a certain range of VINs have them from July 2012 mid September, read oil pump FAQ post a little lower for all details and VIN list

Yes, correction, not bad fuel pump, is bad oil pump
I checked the affected VIN list, the chasis number is showing in format of 7 characters eg. C****** I assume it is the last 7 characters of the VIN, if my assumption is correct and the VIN list is updated, I might just escape from the bad oil pump |

There prob won't be update in VIN list, it was a certain string of cars affected within certain months that have now passed. I am affected and awaiting my pump, I was one of the last ones affected where my car was built early September |
