Brakes Discs Right & Left both the Same ??

Greeting guys

I ordered Brake discs from United Bmwonline.com and installed yesterday and this morning i noticed that both lefts and rights have the same pattern , meaning the line and the holes don't flow the same way on both lefts and right sides here are the pics .

is it a Big deal ??? do they need to be Directional ?? because i've read that the Diamond slot is to evacuate dust .

This is normal for the BMW performance rotors. Most people believe the slots should sweep so that the inner portion of the slot hits the brake pad first. Theory being that the slots sweep the gas/dust out from the center with the help of centrifugal force. I don't believe it matters one bit. In fact the Stoptech rotors are slotted in the opposite direction of what most people think is correct. The reason for this is that the cooling veins are directional and do utilize centrifugal force to move air through the rotor. The slot on these rotors are cut perpendicular to the cooling veins to avoid weak spots. In any case, the asymmetrical direction of the slots will have zero impact on brake performance or feel. Don't give it another thought and just enjoy.

+1. The Performance rotors have the same pattern left and right. There is only one part number for the rotors. Its normal that on one side of teh car the slots go the other direction.
