M3 Leaf Basket
I was just outside adjusting my hood and I noticed these leaf baskets on the back right and left. I read another post about them but i'm not 100% what they do/where they lead to. Mine had a lot of leaves and bees in there so I emptied them out and in the process a little debris managed to fall in the hole. This isn't going to cause any problems is it?
Also, for anyone with an annoyingly large gap between the front fascia and hood: Detach the plastic thing from the underside of the hood that sits around the metal hook. Screw the hook in a couple turns. Then, adjust the rubber bumper stop by the front of the engine bay on either side. Repeat until you get the fit nice and snug. Mine was pretty far off and I was able to make everything perfect in about 15 mins. |

It's just to prevent large debris from blocking the path of the water coming off the car.
