questions about jb4 data logging parameters
Sorry for the noob question. I am new to data logging, and would like to learn how to read logs. Anybody can help me with the basics of the parameters(from jb4 interface) listed below.
1, what is the difference between pre boost and ecu psi? 2, what is dme boost target, target, trims, ff, cps and duty cycle? 3, how to read ign adv? 4, what afr is considered to be lean or rich? 5, I assume rpm, throttle, iat, afr, ign advance, target and pre boost are enough, am i missing something? Thank you |

usually the interface loads with the proper parameters that need to be logged for BMS to look at. ECU psi is what the cars computer is seeing since the JB is sort of fooling it to see less boost. Atleast I think that is how it works.lol Pre-boost is the actual boost you are getting. Boost target is what the tune is trying to get at that point in the rpm. The rest I am a little fuzzy on but for fuel pressure you are look to see if it goes well above 13 under 100% throttle and the trims staying below 50 are usually signs something is not totally right. I am not the expert so you may want to go post these questions also on BMS's message board N54tech
