These are the ones you want. They are not too loud. There is no drone. The sound is perfect. Don't waste your time with crap, spend a little more, buy these and get it just right.

Is there no drone even at around 2000 rpm (wot 5th&6th gears)? How many miles did you put on the exhaust?

Hey Seank, do you have the supersprint headers installed also? Does it sound better and increase performance? I have the powerloops and center pipe but thats it.

I don't have header, just the x-pipe. I have heard that SS or Euro header increase sound but I don't have experience.

Sorry Matt for post jack. Did I say that I love the ss powerloop.

I had the powerloops with csl headers, ss x-pipe, and the ESS tune. It was spectacular.

Note: they are of course constructed from 304 which I had welded to the xpipe for uniformity and to avoid leaks. They will easily weld right on to whatever kind of xpipe you run.

I have seen a lot of folks blow 1200 on a low quality exhaust only to take it off after several weeks because of intolerable drone. You will not have that problem with the powerloops.

So they don't just bolt on? They would require being welded onto the Xpipe?

I initially had them bolted on with the nice bmw clamps, but decided to have them welded on to the OEM x-pipe for $100 bux to have a truer fit when I got rid of the SS X-Pipe. Made the sound better. Talk to any muffler shop and they will tell you this is the way to go.

Do you have pics of these uninstalled? If they're no longer bolt on I'd like to see exactly what they look like. Thanks.

No. They're off the car boxed up in a storage unit in Boston. Those pics were taken right before I had them taken off. I live downtown so it would be kind of a pain in the ass to go get them unpack, photo, repack, etc. I'm willing to knock a few hundred off the price just to avoid this hassle, get rid of them, and enjoy 500 HP in my new X5 5.0

They look and sound great. I'd take a used set of these over a new set of anything else for this car any day of the week. The black stuff is just exhaust dust that can be removed with chrome polish.
