18" Track Wheels for Sale

I have recently gone for wider track wheels/Tyres and have my old ones available for anyone keen:

Advan RS-B in Gunmetal
Front 18" x 8 1/2
Rear 18" x 9 1/2

Barrel (internal) clearance is great and will fit over Brembo BBK up to 365mm or Stoptech up to 380mm.

Currently shod with Yoko AO50 in medium compound, but the rear tyres are well worn and need replacing.

Wheels in EC, very light and strong - pic below

Whole lot for $2000 or offer - Please PM if interested.

Hi - can't seem to PM - do you have the offsets? I'm interested if they fit an E46 M3 and if you'll ship to South Australia.

What a weapon!!!

Damn, missed them. How are you finding the new setup and how much wider did you go?

What's your opinion on stock 18's with semi's vs wider (305/255) streets, for track use? I've seen some people do it, but not sure if the narrower semi's would be better?

Hi Mate
I would go with the narrower track-focused tyres every time. It's not just the tread and compound but the sidewall rigidity too. Except in the wet, then streets are better.
I look at it like this:
Road tyres - dry performance 5/10, wet 6/10
Track tyres - dry 10/10, wet 2/10

I am running:
Road - MicheliN PSS 19" BBS CHR-1, 295/35 rear 265/35 front (KW Clubsport susp)
Track - Yoko AO50 18" Advan TC 3, 295/35 rear 265/35 front

The wider rears certainly help a lot with getting the power down and reducing power oversteer out of the corners. Fronts help with US too, but so does my suspension setup.

Hope this helps
Cheers

Hey mate how do you find the AO50s? I have a set of Toyo R888 as they were fairly cheap compared to the yokos but provide enough grip for me to be happy. They are however very noisy and almost unbearable for daily driving with a set of 4 semislicks. How do the yokos go for road noise?

Hi - I have not used the 888's. The AO50 make a bit of a drone on the road, but I only have them on to, from and during events, so it does not bother me. I have a really rigid subframe and suspension setup, so I don't really notice the extra rigidity of the track tyres. Also, my tracks are 18" and roads 19", further confounding the issue.

Talking to folks around the pits, seems that the Dunlop Direzza also a good tyre, but there is a shift toward the AO50, esp amongst the GT3 drivers.

In Melbourne the dealers for each on on different sides of town, so geography may even be a factor!
Cheers
