135i Price Opinion.

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at getting into my first 135i and was hoping to get some opinions if this deal was worthwhile.

I have a friend of a friend offering an 08 BMW 135i w/ M-Sport Package, Comfort Package and Premium Package w/ 70,000km. Bumper to Bumper warranty and maintenance is over but it's been CPO'd and has warranty till 2014. Title is clean but it's been in about 4 accidents with repairs totalling $13,000. I've had the car checked out and it's mint otherwise. Paint is perfect and interior as well. Price is $25000 bottom line.

Worth it?

4 accidents? $13,000? And he still wants $25000? That's an average of $3,250 per accident. And that is alot of money, BMW or not. I'd want to know exactly what was damaged/repaired. The guy you had look at it, what exactly did you tell him to check?

PPI has been done and passed. And I know aesthetically, it's in near new condition. Brand new tires all around and glass is perfect.

Also note, this is in Canada so our prices will be inflated compared to what you can get in the US.

Do not touch such a car; 3 accidents! Guy drove the shit out of it. Warranty won't cover a worn out clutch and it'll be iffy when the turbos start to go.

I'm selling my 08 with 35,000km on it, and I've not had any offers that low. It is pretty cheap compared to some minters like mine, but at the same time, I have seen one for for $23,000 @ auction with accidents.

I wouldn't by such a car, but if you really want one and that is all you can afford...
